The Bronson Corridor Project sits in the mineral-rich Golden Triangle of northwest British Columbia. This area has a long history of exploration and mining, including the past Snip and Johnny Mountain gold mines. It still holds exciting potential for new discoveries.
The property is within the Stikine terrane, the largest terrane of the Intermontane Belt, which was formed through a series of long-lived volcanic island arc terranes accreted onto the North America in the Early – Mid Jurassic. The Bronson Corridor property geology consists of volcanic and sedimentary sequences of the Stuhini and Hazelton Groups, intruded by the Early Jurassic-aged Lehto Suite intrusions including the Bronson Stock and the Iskut River Stock.
The Bronson Corridor Project is located in the Bronson Corridor, a broad structural and mineralization trend, which shares many similarities with our KSM Project, one of the world’s largest undeveloped gold-copper deposits. Both properties are controlled by district scale fault systems, contain the same geologic rock units, host gold-rich porphyry style mineralization, and were deeply affected by the development of the Skeena Fold and Thrust Belt through the mid-Cretaceous. To date, Seabridge has found evidence of porphyry, epithermal and local skarn style mineralization. Targets on the Bronson Corridor Property include the Quartz Rise, Snip North, and the Bronson Slope Deposit, as well as historic targets including the Bug Lake and Gorge showings.
Through methodical and detailed collection and interpretation of field data, we are able to develop geologically sound interpretations, this helps us to target mineralization effectively and efficiently. Our focus stays on responsible exploration that respects the land, future growth, and local communities.
